There has been many things that was dicovered by African-Americans that others didn't know and so with that YES we still need more Black History...Black History 365.

Do you think, perhaps, the months for other ethnic groups should receive more attention? For example, how many people are even aware that American Indians and Hispanics also have history months?

» Maritim - Black History Month

The Black History Month as noble as it is, is kind of outdated. I say this because with the passage in time, we have become aware of other ethnic minorities whose right have been historically marginalised. This has made it more desirable to have a Minorities History Month other than a Black History Month.

Other ethnic history months:

American Indian: November
Asian Pacific: May
Hispanic Heritage: Sept 15 - Oct 15
Women: March
Jewish: January

These are a few that I am aware of. There may be others, but in any case they are not as well-known as Black History Month. I doubt that most people even know that March is women's history month.
